#25 Fruit Tarts
Fruit tarts anyone? My awesome friend Jenny brought these over from La Bedaine in Berkeley.

#24 The Consumption of Alcohol May Actually Cause Pregnancy
This sign can be found inside of Butter’s bathroom. I love how my best friend and I took turns going and both came out with the same photo on our iPhones.
If this sign speaks the truth, I think I would’ve had many babies by now.
#23 The Rapture
Forbidden Island Tiki Lounge made this drink honor of the predicted. Made with three types of rum and tastes like shit — pardon me — rubbing alcohol :)
#22 Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with Brandied Cherries
Some of the best tasting panna cotta I’ve ever had at Beast and the Hare on Guerrero in San Francisco.
#21 Bowling
I went bowling the other night, which reminded me of when I bowled this game at Presidio Bowl in San Francisco.
…I was Obama. And I think I totally failed America.
#20 Fondue Apparatus
Dug this up on my camera from January — homemade fondue from scratch! The fondue was made of Gruyere, Cheddar and Emmentaler. For dipping, we had bread, broccoli, potatoes, apple, beef, bison and pork. We set up a raclette grill for the raw meats.
Perfect for a cold Vermont winter.
#19 Moth on a Tart
Caught this at La Bedaine, a fantastic patisserie on Solano in Berkeley. I thought a really neat looking moth decoration at first, but upon closer inspection, realized that it was real. Mostly because it moved. Don’t worry, it was just an out-in-the-open display tart and not for sale.
Though it would be really pretty to have edible butterfly decorations on a cake…
#18 Acorn
I’m finally uploading photos from my trip to the East Coast this past winter. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this is quite possibly one of my favorite shots from the whole trip. Just wish I used better camera settings. The thumbnail looks cute though :)
And FYI, this was my first time in snow. Quite magical.
#17 Ducks
It’s Saturday night and I turned down an invitation to a bar crawl and another one for a party in exchange for running this gorgeousness this evening. Then I went home, read a book, worked a bit, and started getting ready for bed at 10. The 21-23 year old me would have been baffled. Heck, I’m still baffled right now.
Just call me grandma.
#16 Cucumber Gimlets
With Plymouth gin at 83 Proof with, and at the suggestion of my homance, who’s a regular there. Good times with good people and a lovely surprise visit from the Chamberlain. After which I trotted tipsily to meet up with my parents for dinner, which was also awesome.
In the thumbnail, these drinks are so frothy that they look like halved hard boiled eggs. They were so good. 83 Proof clearly know their cocktails!
